Summer Enrichment Programs: Advanced English and Math

Get a head start for the coming school year by attending the A+ Summer Program!

July Session: June 29th to July 16th, 2021

August Session: July 28th to August 13th, 2021

Summer isn’t just a time to relax and have fun.  It’s also the ideal season to get a jump-start on the academic challenges all students will face as they move to the next grade level. During the months of July and August, the A+ Program offers two intensive sessions in which students study materials and concepts that are taught in their upcoming grade level.

Summer sessions are run with the same rigor and intensity as the regular school year.  Our curriculum is carefully designed by accredited teaching professionals to exceed state standards for students of all grades.  By going above and beyond regular curriculum, the A+ Summer Program is perfect for gifted learners and talented students eager to accelerate their academics and develop the skills they’ll need in college.

ISEE and SSAT Test Preparation

A+ students rank among the top 10-100 nationwide in ISEE Exam Results and OVER 90% are admitted into Boston Latin School and other top private schools.

Our trained ISEE/SSAT teachers show students how to apply strategies proven to increase their test scores. The in-class reviews keeps students focused while the materials and practice exams improve their understanding of the most important skills, concepts, and test-taking strategies.  The overall experience in the A+ ISEE/SSAT Test Prep program gives every student the confidence they need to be in that top 10!

What we do to make that happen:

  • Provide a thorough review of the pertinent subject areas in every section of the ISEE/SSAT Exam.
  • Practice advanced strategies for answering multiple choice questions – proven to increase scores!
  • Instruction and practice of the best method to find the meaning of words from reading the context.
  • Show how to answer correctly when you only have partial knowledge.
  • Teach the techniques to quickly answer questions when limited by time.

SAT Test Preparation

Each student will also take full-length diagnostic tests, before and after the program, and receive a personalized comprehensive score report to assess strengths and weaknesses and gauge improvement.

Students in the A+ SAT Prep Class:

Math Class: – This class will build fundamental math skills needed for academic success and get ahead for the upcoming school year through the learning of advanced math material. Topics include (but not limited to) fractions, ratios, proportions, long division, etc. Students will also learn to think critically and learn how to apply their math skills through problem-solving real-world situations in an engaging, challenging and fun environment.

Real-World Learning – Students are challenged to make real-world connections to mathematical concepts they learn in class.
