A+ Student Profile : Jason Ma

By A Plus Program on 16 May 16 News,Student Profile

Jason’s family moved to the United States 4 years ago when Jason was in 7th grade. In the beginning, Jason faced significant challenges in the A+ Program, mainly due to the language barrier. Jason was not able to recognize many English words, and he found it difficult to keep up with the pace of A+.

Based on his level of English, Jason was encouraged to start in a lower level that fit his needs better. Thinking back, Jason’s father, Andrew, commented that it was an important transition for Jason: Seeing how other A+ students studied motivated and helped Jason to learn at a quicker pace.  With a few sessions’ study at A+, Jason was able to catch up with his American peers.

Now, Jason is a high school senior. We were ecstatic to hear from Jason’s parents that Jason has just received acceptance to Harvard University as an Early Decision applicant! The parents were elated at the news, and they showed great gratitude towards the ASC A+ Program for serving as crucial stepping stones for Jason to transition to the American ways of learning. We are so happy to see Jason exceeding expectations and making great achievements in his life. We look forward to helping more of our students stand out and accomplish their endeavors!
